This is the second edition of a study that examines the cutting-edge technology at the forefront of logical and physical security integration. Physical Identity Access Management (PIAM) solutions provide unified identity management capabilities across all IT applications, physical security systems and building networks. These systems allow end-users to centrally manage the lifecycle of identities for anyone who comes into contact with the company, including employees, clients, suppliers, contractors and visitors. This includes the ability to deploy identities (card holders), credentials (cards) and assign access rights into one or more vendor-independent physical access control systems.
