Senior Research Manager
Preston is a senior research manager in the Omdia industrial vertical. His expertise covers industrial automation, such as manufacturing technology equipment, building technologies, and wireless power and power supply. Preston has done extensive research on motor-driven systems and related factory automation equipment and is skilled in advanced research methods, statistical interpretation, and public speaking.
Since 2012, he has contributed to the broadening of Omdia (formerly IHS Markit) coverage into energy efficiency, smart manufacturing, industrial Internet of Things, and impending transformative technologies. Additionally, he engages with other Omdia groups to give customers a deeper understanding of the crucial trends occurring in a wide array of verticals that shape the global environment. While conducting his research, he has formed working relationships with several major suppliers and trade associations in these new areas of study. He holds a BBS in finance from Saint Edward’s University in Texas, US, and he currently works in the Austin, Texas office.
Bryan is an analyst for Omdia’s (formerly IHS Markit’s) physical security group and is responsible for the content of Omdia’s Access Control Intelligence Service. He joined IHS Markit in 2017 and has previously written reports covering the building automation equipment, HVAC equipment, physical identity and access management (PIAM) solutions, and smart buildings markets. Bryan is based in Denver, Colorado, US.
Ivan provides analysis on developments in the manufacturing technology sector. His primary focus areas at Omdia include market research on the low voltage motors and motor-driven equipment markets.
Prior to joining Omdia (formerly IHS Markit) in 2018, Ivan worked at SHI, a large corporate reseller of compute solutions to Fortune 1000 companies. He was an account executive who worked closely with the firm’s IT systems. Ivan has a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in management information systems from the University of Texas at Austin.
