Merrick holds a Bachelor of Arts from Middlebury College and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics. He speaks fluent Danish, French, and Italian.
Senior Research Analyst, Service Provider Technology
Samuel McLaughlin covers the global set-top box ecosystem. In his role on the service provider technology team, he closely follows and advises on service provider technology, focusing on set-top boxes, monitoring and analyzing technology developments in satellite, cable, IPTV, OTT, and terrestrial networks
Previously, he worked as a research analyst in the strategic technologies team at ABI Research, where he published a variety of insight and strategy reports covering location-based services and low-power wide area networks. Samuel holds a master’s degree in mechatronic systems from the Augsburg University of Applied Sciences, Germany, and a master’s degree in electronic engineering, from Ulster University, United Kingdom.
