Constantinos Papavassilopoulos researches the TV and online video markets of 21 countries, spanning APAC (India), the Middle East and North Africa, Turkey, and Europe (Greece, Cyprus, and Malta). He authors market monitors and reports, and updates datasets, while also contributing to analysis and commentaries on a variety of topics.
Constantinos is a frequent guest speaker at conferences and events throughout MENA and Europe. Considered as an expert on the markets he covers, Mr. Papavassilopoulos is often interviewed for market research, trade, press, and business publications as well as for major news and current affairs networks. He joined IHS Markit in 2012 and Omdia in 2019. Previously, he had worked as a media researcher and head of the new technologies department at the Hellenic Audiovisual Institute. Prior to this, he worked as an assistant manager for a small TV production company in Athens, Greece. He holds a geology degree from the University of Athens, Greece, and a master’s in communications studies from the University of Leeds, UK.
As part of Omdia’s digital consumer platforms team, Seth produces reports on their investments and funding of startups, their merger and acquisition activity, performance and platform developments such as new product directions, and the impact of regulatory changes upon them.
Prior to joining Omdia, formerly IHS Markit, Seth was a telecoms research analyst at the World Markets Research Centre (WMRC) in 2006. After his social media analyst roles with Kantar, Seth returned to the telecoms team at IHS Markit in 2015.
Seth holds a Master of Science in human communications and computing from the University of Bath, UK, where he researched on design optimization and usability testing of mobile devices. After graduation, his roles developed from usability analytics toward the research analyst role, initially looking at emerging mobile services and operator portals.
Research Manager, Service Providers and Platforms
As part of Omdia's research operation team, Sivalingam Muniandi leads the projects from the service provider, consumer, and enterprise market sectors, with a specific interest in telecom operator multi-play strategies, subscriber and revenue trends, new service rollouts, regulatory developments, telco merger and acquisition activity, and pay TV.
Prior to joining Omdia, formerly IHS Markit, Siva worked as a senior research analyst, covering telecoms and pay TV in Asia Pacific. He also worked at Maxis Berhad, Malaysia as a business analyst on the regional sales team. During his time there, Siva was responsible for data mining, KPI and sales performance reporting, market research, competitor insights, trade management, vendor management, and compliance control.
Siva holds a Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons.) in multimedia systems from Wawasan Open University, Malaysia. He is currently pursuing the Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration and is based in Penang, Malaysia.
