Cliff Grossner

Senior Director, Cloud & Data Centre

Cliff heads the cloud and data center research practice at Omdia. He is responsible for research quality and his research focuses on cloud services, IT, and physical data center infrastructure. Cliff has over 25 years’ industry experience encompassing scientific research, market analysis, corporate and product strategy, product management, and marketing. 

Cliff joined Omdia through IHS Markit Technology and Infonetics acquisitions. Previously, he held senior positions in the information and communications technology industries, including strategic marketing for Alcatel-Lucent's enterprise network business and tenures at Bell Labs and Nortel. At McGill and Concordia universities in Canada, he worked as a research scientist and faculty lecturer specializing in AI, distributed computing, and computer architecture. He earned his PhD at McGill University, his Master of Science degree in computer science at Concordia University, and was awarded national scholarships to support his graduate work. He holds over 10 patents.

Devan Adams

Principal Analyst, Data Centre Networks

Devan Adams is Omdia’s Principal Analyst for the cloud and data center research team, where he leads Omdia’s cloud services and data center switching research. He also writes comprehensive and informative insights that allow customers to stay abreast of new market trends and important industry topics in the cloud and data center markets.

He has more than a decade of experience in network product management, marketing, telecommunications, and cloud market research. Prior to joining Omdia, he was a market analyst at Infonetics Research, where he played an instrumental role in developing Infonetics' first off-premises cloud intelligent service. During this time, he also developed and helped to manage intelligent service deliverables for data center networks, storage area networks, and software-defined networks.

Devan holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering, with a minor in mathematics, and an MBA, with market research specialization, from the University of Cincinnati, US.
