The emergence of the coronavirus in China, a deadly respiratory disease that originated in Wuhan, is now becoming a serious health threat not only in mainland China, but globally as well. Coronavirus outbreaks in many provinces and cities across the China region issued a decision to extend holidays, require facilities shutdown, and complete city lockdowns. Tay Kim
Principal Analyst, ProAV
As part of Omdia's components and devices team, Tay focuses on professional AV device research, specializing in the digital signage market. He is responsible for the market research, analysis, and forecast of digital signage (including LED video displays), desktop monitors, and specialty display devices.
His research covers a diverse range of vertical markets including education, corporate, transportation, hospitality, retail, sports, and other public spaces. Additionally, he regularly contributes to custom and consulting projects across the entire digital signage landscape.
Prior to joining Omdia, Tay developed market insights at Hewlett Packard. He also worked as a B2B specialist in the printing division at Samsung Electronics where he managed overseas customers. Before that, he was with a B2B division at Samsung Fine Chemicals for electronic materials including LCD.
Tay has a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul.
