Although 5G means many different things in terms of services and applications to many different people, the requirements for 5G mobile transport are becoming clearer in terms of ultra-high capacity, ultra-low latency, timing and synchronization (T&S), and flexibility and reliability. In order to ensure they offer future-proofed solutions, mobile transport equipment vendors will need to deliver products that meet 5G requirements, and through this year we expect to see those vendors emphasize key areas. He joined the telecom industry in 1997 as a conference director at The Phillips Group. He has a degree in English literature and cultural studies from the University of Gloucestershire.
