Carrie Pawsey works in Omdia’s Internet of Things (IoT) team, supporting clients with innovative thought leadership analysis, delivered through syndicated research and bespoke projects. Carrie’s IoT focus is on the disruptive opportunities and success strategies for digital service providers within IoT. Carrie also has an IoT vertical focus on Smart Cities.
Prior to joining the IoT team in early 2017, Carrie specialized in MVNOs & MVNEs, service bundling/multiplay, fixed–mobile convergence, and mobile tariff innovations.
With more than 23 years working in the telecoms industry, Carrie has extensive experience advising clients on their competitive strategies. Carrie often speaks at client workshops and events, at large industry conferences like IoT World and London Tech Week, as well as hosting webinars. She is a regular contributor to the press.
As a member of the service provider team, Alexandra focuses on digital consumer strategies. She supports clients with insight and analysis on emerging digital services, strategies, and partnerships, specifically how service providers can leverage new business models in media, smart home, gaming, financial services, and other communications-adjacent areas.
Alexandra has over 20 years of experience as an industry analyst, consultant, and business leader. She lived in Asia for nine years and has worked on projects in over 20 countries. She joined Omdia in 2016 as an IoT practice leader, launching the company’s first IoT research service. She was previously a partner and head of research at Analysys Mason. She has held senior roles at PA Consulting Group, TeleGeography, Pyramid Research, and Motorola. Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in cognitive science from Brown University and a Master of Arts in international studies (economics and Chinese studies) from Johns Hopkins University.
Pablo Tomasi is a Principal Analyst in the workspace services practice, where he leads the company’s research on private LTE and 5G networks. He helps clients with their strategic decisions by providing in-depth analysis of innovative technologies, strategies, regulations, and emerging ecosystems in the private networks market.
Before his current role, he worked as a Senior Analyst in the IoT team, covering the Industrial IoT (IIoT) and European service providers' strategies. Prior to joining Omdia, formerly Ovum, in 2019, Pablo was a senior analyst at ABI Research and IHS Markit, where he reported on service providers' vertical market opportunities, IoT, and smart cities. He has produced analysis and forecasts on multiple topics including private LTE networks and strategies, the smart cities ecosystem, and IIoT and IoT strategies. Pablo has spoken at numerous events including Private Networks in a 5G World, Total Telecom Congress, IoT World Europe, and Smart Cities Week.
As part of Omdia's Internet of Things (IoT) practice, John is based in Boston. His specialist areas of coverage include service provider IoT strategies, IoT platforms, IoT product and go-to-market approaches, and key IoT vertical markets, including connected cars.
Prior to joining the Omdia (formerly Ovum) IoT team in 2019, John spent over five years working in product management and product development with AT&T's IoT organization. He provided commercial and market support in areas including connected cars, fleet solutions, smart cities, and smart homes. Before joining AT&T, John was an analyst with Strategy Analytics, focusing on connected car markets, technologies, and opportunities. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Trinity College in Connecticut and a Master of Science with distinction in international strategy and economics from the University of St Andrews in Scotland.
Olympia Fotiadi Mouzala
As part of the service providers and market teams of Omdia, Olympia Fotiadi Mouzala helps clients taking strategic decisions by delivering high-quality reports. She monitors key market developments of the European telco scene focusing on 5G development. Olympia previously specialized in IoT with a focus on LPWAN technologies, IoT investments, and blockchain.
Olympia joined Informa Tech, now Omdia, in 2019, after she completed her Master of Science in consumer analytics and marketing strategy from the University of Leeds in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, where she focused on how data analysis could be applied in business problems. Olympia was introduced into a wide range of topics like big data, consumer analysis, data science, digital marketing, predictive analytics, and geographic data visualization. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in production engineering and management from the Technical University of Crete in Chania, Greece, where she delved into the fields of mathematical sciences, information systems, operations research, and management.
