Chris is a research analyst in Omdia’s service provider transformation teams, where he aids clients making strategic decisions through high-quality reports and trackers. Chris covers a range of carrier network software topics, including NFV, carrier SDN, uCPE, cloud-native evolution, core network, and edge computing software.
Chris joined Omdia from Informa Tech’s conference division in June 2020, where he had been working on the NFV/SDN and broadband series of events since 2018. While there he also researched and produced content on core networks, network slicing, edge computing and telco blockchain. He was seconded to Omdia as a research analyst between October 2019 and February 2020, where he produced reports and insights on NFV adoption, the evolving vendor ecosystem, and how telco virtualization supports more advanced applications such as AI.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in ancient history from Durham University.
