Senior Research Director, Service Provider Markets
Ronan oversees Service Provider Markets and leads a team of over 20 international analysts that are responsible for the coverage of global, regional, and local service provider markets. He has been analyzing the TMT industry for more than 15 years, covering a wide range of domains in telecoms, media, and devices.
Ronan now owns and oversees the creation of high-quality syndicated research deliverables, ranging from Omdia’s core “W” data products to key trackers, regional outlooks, and trends to watch. Prior to joining Informa (now Omdia), formerly Ovum, in 2014, he was a principal analyst at Analysys Mason and IHS Screen Digest. Ronan is prized as a global technology commentator and often discusses a range of issues with Bloomberg, CNBC, Sky, and BBC. Ronan holds a PhD in telecommunications from King's College London.

Ari Lopes
Senior Research Manager, Americas Markets
As part of the service provider markets team, Ari manages the Americas group and covers the telecom and digital services markets in Latin America. His research focuses on mobile and fixed operator strategies, including approaches to 5G, fixed broadband, and IoT.
Ari provides analysis of developments in the Latin American telecom market, particularly Brazil. Prior to joining the company in 2012, he worked as a senior financial analyst for Google, pricing manager for Oi and Brasil Telecom, and pricing analyst for Vivo.
He holds a degree in economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a Master of Science in communications management from the University of Strathclyde.

Garinder Shankrowalia
Senior Market Forecaster
As a Senior Market Forecaster on Omdia's forecasting and data analysis team, Garinder Shankrowalia provides analysis and forecasts across various telecoms, media, and technology markets. She is responsible for developing and maintaining forecast models for metrics across more than 200 countries.
Prior to joining Omdia in June 2019, Garinder worked as a commercial analyst, digital analyst, competitor intelligence analyst, and then as a forecasting analyst at a large energy supplier in the Midlands, where she gained experience in forecasting and statistical techniques, competitor intelligence, tracking industry trends, KPI reporting, and using data analysis to suggest business strategies. Garinder has a strong logical and analytical background and holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Birmingham.

Kyle McKenna
Senior Market Forecaster
As a senior market forecaster in Omdia’s forecasting and data analysis team, Kyle provides analysis and forecasts across the telecoms, media, and technology fields. He is responsible for developing and maintaining forecast models for metrics from more than 200 countries.
Prior to joining Omdia in June 2021, Kyle worked as a commercial analyst and pricing and forecasting analyst in the energy industry. He is experienced in pricing strategy, competitor insight, and forecasting methodologies. Kyle holds a master’s degree in mechanical engineering and energy engineering from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.

Adam Thomas
Senior Principal Analyst, TV, Video and Advertising
As part of the media and entertainment research practice, Adam is responsible for overseeing the World Television Information Service (WTVIS) spotlight product and its Media & Entertainment Viewpoint service.
Adam joined Omdia in 2000 after serving as a senior media analyst at Market Tracking International. His primary area of focus for the past 20 years has been the traditional TV sector. He has written analyses and produced data and forecasts for all sectors of the traditional TV business, including the pay TV platforms of cable, satellite, IPTV, and DTT. Adam holds a degree in communications from London Guildhall University.

Daniel Sutton
Principal Analyst, Visual Entertainment
Daniel Sutton is part of the media and entertainment team, specializing in aggregating data and curating both custom and syndicated outputs across the media and entertainment space. His work supports the development of new products and the expansion of existing data sets at Omdia.
Daniel joined the television media service at Omdia (formerly IHS Markit) in 2014, specializing in IPTV and video-on-demand (VoD) technologies. Later, he developed outputs for the TV and online video intelligence service and has since worked with teams at Omdia to create the current service.
Prior to joining Omdia, Daniel worked predominantly as an analyst, supporting the management of accounting functions in a range of industries, including infrastructure, fashion, and housing.
