As part of Omdia’s regulation team, Sarah McBride is a Senior Analyst that provides analyses of telecoms regulation and policies at national and cross-country levels. She covers key developments in next-generation access, platform and web scaler regulations, national broadband plans, spectrum awards, universal service, net neutrality, wholesale fixed and mobile access, and consumer protection regulation.
Sarah produces a variety of reports, trackers, and benchmarks, such as country regulation overviews and spectrum, national broadband, and fixed access trackers. She also has a keen interest in the regulation of topics such as IoT, 5G, AI, over-the-top (OTT), privacy, and data protection. Prior to joining Informa (now Omdia), formerly Ovum, in 2015, Sarah was a senior researcher at Pearlfinders, analyzing and advising on trends in the IT, telecoms, and technology markets. She holds a degree in natural sciences from the University of Durham.

Piyali Sahu
Analyst
As a part of Omdia’s regulation and consumer services team, Piyali focuses on regulatory frameworks, national broadband plans, and country-level spectrum policy. She also analyzes innovative aspects of telecoms operators at country level.
Prior to joining Omdia in 2020, Piyali worked as a software engineer at Tech Mahindra, where she was a part of a BSS transformation project handling porting, provisioning, and mediation systems. She holds a management degree in analytics and finance from Symbiosis Institute of Digital and Telecom Management in Pune, India.
