Ronan de Renesse
Senior Research Director, Service Provider Markets
Ronan oversees Service Provider Markets and leads a team of over 20 international analysts that are responsible for the coverage of global, regional, and local service provider markets. He has been analyzing the TMT industry for more than 15 years, covering a wide range of domains in telecoms, media, and devices.

Ronan is prized as a global technology commentator and often discusses a range of issues with Bloomberg, CNBC, Sky, and BBC. Ronan holds a PhD in telecommunications from King's College London.

Matthew Reed
Chief Analyst, Service Provider Markets
Matthew’s research and analysis covers global trends in service provider markets.
Previously, Matthew specialized in researching regional telecoms markets in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. He joined Informa, now Omdia, in 2007.

William Hare
Practice Leader
William Hare is the Practice Leader for Omdia’s European Service Provider Markets Intelligence Service. He leads a team of analysts developing and delivering reports and data on the European Telco space, covering fixed and mobile market developments across more than 50 countries.
William has more than 13 years’ experience in the TMT sector, advising Telcos, NRAs and professional services firms in Europe and across the world. Specialisations include market analysis, market forecasting and 5G. Prior to joining Omdia in 2020, he was a Principal Analyst at Analysys Mason, where he led two European-focussed telecoms research programmes as well as leading the development of various innovative market modelling exercises and forecast model methodologies. He holds a degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.

Ari Lopes
Senior Research Manager, Americas Markets
As part of the service provider markets team, Ari manages the Americas group and covers the telecom and digital services markets in Latin America. His research focuses on mobile and fixed operator strategies, including approaches to 5G, fixed broadband, and IoT.
Ari provides analysis of developments in the Latin American telecom market, particularly Brazil. Prior to joining the company in 2012, he worked as a senior financial analyst for Google, pricing manager for Oi and Brasil Telecom, and pricing analyst for Vivo.
He holds a degree in economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a Master of Science in communications management from the University of Strathclyde.

Srushti Ghisad
Senior Manager, MEA Service Provider Markets
As part of Omdia’s Middle East and Africa team, Srushti oversees the creation of high-quality syndicated research deliverables and execution of successful consulting engagements in the region. She provides detailed analyses on individual countries and across many areas including mobile, broadband, digital media, regulations, as well as vendor and operator strategies.
Srushti has an extensive background experience in telecommunications having worked with top industry players such as HTC, Nokia, and Qualcomm. Her different roles have included being responsible for launching the first Android handset in the Middle East to delivering strategic insights for business planning and development on topics such as 3G, 4G, mobile handsets, portable devices, IoT, applications, and ecosystems, as well as business models of handset vendors in emerging markets.
At Omdia, Srushti aims to produce quality reports with valuable market intelligence and analyses to support the clients’ business needs. She holds a degree in engineering, majoring in electronics and telecommunications.

Ramona Zhao
Research Manager, Asia Pac Markets
Ramona is the Research Manager for APAC service provider markets and leads research analysis on the Asian service provider market. She covers a wide range of topics including service provider strategies, digital activities, business plans, and innovation services. Ramona's specialties include strategy planning and market dynamics.
Prior to joining Informa (now Omdia), formerly Ovum, in 2018, Ramona worked in China Mobile Research Institute’s strategy research division and was responsible for research projects that covered a wide range of topics, including 4G, video, and operators' digital transformations. She provided strategic insights for China Mobile Research Institute's business planning and development. Ramona also worked as a consultant at Detecon, providing management consulting services for China’s operators.

Maosen Xia
Research Analyst, China
Maosen Xia is a regional analyst in Omdia's Service Provider Markets team, providing analysis on the Asian service provider market. He produces forecasts, reports, and consulting projects to provide insight on the Asian telco markets.
Maosen joined Omdia, formerly Ovum, in January 2019 after completing his postgraduate studies in applied finance. Previously, he has held internships in the finance industry including in commercial banking, insurance, and investment banking. He also worked as a risk advisory intern, providing on-site risk management consulting.

Danson Njue
Senior Research Analyst, Africa Markets
Danson Njue is a Senior Research Analyst with Omdia. He works as part of the Middle East and Africa team, focusing on providing insights on telco and vendor strategies across Sub-Saharan Africa. His research includes operator network and digital strategies, disruptive technologies, and regulatory frameworks in sub-Saharan Africa.
Danson joined Omdia, formerly Ovum, in March 2011 as a Research Analyst. Before that, he was a wireless training engineer at Huawei Technologies Limited in Kenya and has also worked as a base station subsystem engineer at Safaricom PLC. Danson holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering, specializing in telecommunications, a master’s degree in electrical and electronic systems, and an honors degree in electrical and electronics engineering.

Sonia Agnese
Senior Principal Analyst, LATAM Service Provider Markets
Sonia Agnese has over 25 years’ experience in the TMT industry. Based in Argentina, she is a TMT public policy and regulatory expert with a strategy, research, and consulting background. She examines international trends and market developments, specializing in Latin America.
Prior to joining Omdia, formerly Ovum, in 2014, Sonia was responsible for regulatory evolution and strategy for the Telecom Argentina Group. She previously worked as a senior consultant at Arthur Andersen and at Deloitte.
Sonia has an Accounting (Hons.) and Economics degree and holds an MBA from CEMA University, Buenos Aires. Sonia is an honorary professor at postgraduate programs in key universities and telecommunications programs in Argentina.
Sonia is also a judge of the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards as well as a frequent speaker at several Latin American and international forums.
