Helen Allingham
Helen is an associate analyst on Omdia’s financial services team, focusing on payments and digital banking.
Helen has worked in research and analysis since 2001. She started her career as a graduate analyst in the financial services practice at Datamonitor, before going on to the lead the cards and payments team. She subsequently moved into analyst relations at digital marketing agency, Metia, where she specialised in fintech accounts and worked with clients ranging from small start-ups to large big tech companies.
Prior to working with Omdia, Helen was the head of content for the wealth management practice at GlobalData. She has a degree in French and German from the University of Exeter.

Philip Benton
Principal Analyst, Financial Services
Philip works in Omdia’s financial services team, where he focuses on payments and digital banking trends as well as business strategy for the banking sector.
Philip has been an analyst in the financial services sector since 2013, with a background in consumer behavioral trends and their impact on payments, retail, and digital commerce. His main research interests are in open banking, real-time payments, and digital transformation. Philip provides analysis on key developments driving technological change in the financial services industry and advises clients on how to adapt.
Prior to joining Omdia in 2020, Philip spent seven years at Euromonitor, a strategic FMCG market research firm. He holds a degree in business from the University of the West of England, Bristol.
