Dom Tait
Research Director, Games, Music, Consumer Platforms and AI
Dom Tait is Omdia’s Research Director for games, music and audio, and consumer platforms and AI research. Dom joined Omdia in 2014 and has worked across the spectrum of entertainment and media on high-profile consulting projects, with a specialization in games and—increasingly—how they converge with other media.
Dom’s background is in media, having played editorial roles for a range of publications before joining Omdia. For many years, he has worked on a major report that examines consumer and advertiser spending data in entertainment and media segments around the world. As such, he can advise clients on a range of digital media.

Steven Bailey
Principal Analyst, Video Games
Steve specializes in the online PC gaming market, virtual worlds, online consoles, as well as casual, browser-based, and social gaming.
He also provides consultancy services for major international clients and general games intelligence service work. Steve focuses on subscription and micro-transaction markets in the West as well as in emerging gaming sectors.
Prior to joining Omdia, Steve had an accomplished career in games journalism in a variety of magazine roles, including as editor of a TV-based games portal. Most notably, he lent his distinctive voice as a freelance writer to Edge, the influential games periodical. Over the six years of his career as a writer, Steve published several thousand published pages of video game content within the specialist press.
Steve attended Cardiff University in Wales, completing a PhD in mathematics with an emphasis on numerical analysis and multivariate calculus.

George Jijiashvili
Principal Analyst, Games
George leads research into video games and augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) hardware and content. As a member of Omdia’s games, music, and consumer AI team, he produces insight into his research areas through regular reports, market sizing, and forecasting.
Based in London, George focuses on areas including the video game market, cloud gaming, subscription services, AR/VR, and wearable technology. He is a regular speaker at major technology exhibitions and is a respected industry commentator, regularly quoted in mainstream publications. Prior to joining Omdia in 2019, George worked as a senior analyst at CCS Insight for six years. He holds a degree in international business with Russian from the University of Westminster

Matthew Bailey
Principal Analyst, Media and Entertainment
As part of the Omdia channels, programming and advertising team, Matthew Bailey covers the global digital media sector, with a specific interest in digital media monetization strategies, ad-supported online video, digital advertising, ad-funded games, and games-related video content and platforms.
In his role as a Principal Analyst, his main research interests are in digital content and advertising. This includes mobile, social, and ad-supported online video (AVOD), within which Matthew provides analysis of key developments in online video content creation, vendor monetization strategies, and digital video advertising. He also writes on adjacent developments in the broader digital advertising market, OTT video, digital publishing, social media, video games, and next-generation forms of advertising, media and entertainment. Prior to joining Omdia, formerly Ovum, in 2015, Matthew worked as a senior research analyst at MarketLine. He holds a degree in English language and literature from the University of Leeds.

Liam Deane
Principal Analyst
Liam leads Omdia’s games tech coverage with his research focusing on the technology and services that power the video games market, and exploring the B2B value chain connecting games development to service providers to consumers.
Prior to joining Omdia, Liam worked at Irdeto, a digital platform security company and owner of Denuvo, a leading provider of security technology to the games industry, where he advised senior management and product teams on market trends and strategy. Before that, he worked as an analyst covering the video games and broader digital media market at Ovum, one of Omdia’s predecessors. Liam holds a master’s degree in philosophy from UCL, and with a background spanning both analyst research and first-hand industry experience, Liam has a unique blend of experience informing his work analyzing the complex games industry ecosystem.

Chenyu Cui
Senior Analyst, Games
Chenyu Cui joined Omdia in May 2012 as an analyst in the Games team and is based in Shanghai, China.
Chenyu's research responsibilities include coverage of all Asia Pacific markets with a specific focus on China, and include analysis of massively multiplayer online games, multiplayer online games, social network games and other online games markets. She holds a master’s degree in cultural and creative industries from King's College London, United Kingdom, and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from Northeast Normal University, China, and Edinburgh Napier University, United Kingdom.
