Principal Analyst, Strategy & Regulation

As part of Omdia’s service provider strategy and regulation team, Stephen supports service providers with insights into technology-driven strategic opportunities and developments in the regulatory landscape.

Stephen started out in the company as a consultant working with a broad range of leading Asia Pacific service providers and vendors to address technology, competitive, regulatory, and strategic challenges.

Prior to joining Omdia in 2016, Stephen worked in industry, where, for over six years, he played a senior role in the development of the Australian national broadband network (NBN), working in strategy, product, and regulatory teams. Stephen has also worked as an equity research analyst, providing investment advice on the sector for global investors.  

Gourab Banik

Analyst, Service Providers and Markets

As part of Omdia’s regulation team, Gourab Banik is an Analyst, providing insights into telecoms regulation and policies at a country level. He covers regulatory developments in areas such as spectrum awards, universal service, net neutrality, and consumer protection.

Prior to joining Omdia in 2021, Gourab worked at research and consulting firms including Frost & Sullivan and GlobalData, where he monitored and analyzed trends across telecom, media, and technology sectors. He holds a degree in telecom management from Balaji Institute of Telecom and Management in Pune, India.
