YS is a renowned expert in the display research field with more than 20 years’ experience. He is leading the large-area display and supply chain team at Omdia. He provides industry-leading insights accumulated from years of experience and global network. His focus of areas includes the large-area display market, technology, and industry dynamics.
Prior to joining to Informa Tech (now Omdia), he served as a director in IHS Markit’s large-area displays and display chemical materials analysis team. He also led the display material/components research team at NPD DisplaySearch Korea, where he was the office’s general manager. Before that, he worked in the R&D and marketing teams of Samsung SDI’s CRT and PDP division, managing PDP product planning and technology marketing and leading the flat panel display (FPD) benchmarking team. As a recognized expert, he is a regular speaker at various FPD forums. YS has a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea.
