He also led the display material/components research team at NPD DisplaySearch Korea, where he was the office’s general manager. Before that, he worked in the R&D and marketing teams of Samsung SDI’s CRT and PDP division, managing PDP product planning and technology marketing and leading the flat panel display (FPD) benchmarking team. As a recognized expert, he is a regular speaker at various FPD forums. YS has a bachelor's degree in electronic engineering from Kookmin University in Seoul, South Korea.
