Ramona Zhao

Research Manager, Asia Pac Markets

Ramona is the Research Manager for APAC service provider markets and leads research analysis on the Asian service provider market. She covers a wide range of topics including service provider strategies, digital activities, business plans, and innovation services. Ramona's specialties include strategy planning and market dynamics.

Prior to joining Informa (now Omdia), formerly Ovum, in 2018, Ramona worked in China Mobile Research Institute’s strategy research division and was responsible for research projects that covered a wide range of topics, including 4G, video, and operators' digital transformations. She provided strategic insights for China Mobile Research Institute's business planning and development. Ramona also worked as a consultant at Detecon, providing management consulting services for China’s operators.  

Maosen Xia

Research Analyst, China

Maosen Xia is a regional analyst in Omdia's Service Provider Markets team, providing analysis on the Asian service provider market. He produces forecasts, reports, and consulting projects to provide insight on the Asian telco markets.

Maosen joined Omdia, formerly Ovum, in January 2019 after completing his postgraduate studies in applied finance. Previously, he has held internships in the finance industry including in commercial banking, insurance, and investment banking. He also worked as a risk advisory intern, providing on-site risk management consulting.

Jensen Ooi

Principal Analyst

Jensen Ooi is a principal analyst with Omdia’s Asia Pacific service provider markets team. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, he covers the telecommunications industry, specializing in Southeast Asia. His scope of research and advisory services includes industry trends, strategies, digital services, and business innovation.

Prior to joining Omdia, Jensen was IDC’s lead analyst for the consumer devices industry in Southeast Asia. He has been one of the judges for GSMA’s Global Mobile (GLOMO) Awards. He has been regularly quoted by international news agencies such as Reuters, Financial Times, Nikkei, Bloomberg, TechCrunch, etc. Jensen also has experience in the media industry, developing and implementing customer experience strategies.

Sourav Gupta

Analyst

Based in India, Sourav is a part of the Omdia’s APAC Service Provider markets team. His main area of focus is tracking and forecasting detailed financial and operational metrics for Asia Pacific telecom operators covering their mobile, fixed, and digital businesses.

Sourav has more than 3 years of experience in market research and business consulting across the Telecom, Media, and Technology (TMT) sector. Previously part of a consulting research and analytics firm, Sourav assisted TMT clients on business research projects by designing and executing primary & secondary research, data mining, market and competitor analysis to perform the research studies. He has rich experience in market forecasting, opportunity analysis, product benchmarking, and tracking key industry trends. Moving forward, Sourav is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Netaji Subhash Engineering College based out of Kolkata, India.

Harith Abdul Hadi

Harith Abdul Hadi is a senior analyst in the Service Provider Markets Asia-pacific team.
His primary role includes delivering comprehensive market research, competitor analysis and consumer insights of the telecommunications industry within Asian and Oceania region.

Arpan Bid

Based in India, Arpan is a part of Omdia's APAC Service Provider markets team. His role includes market analysis, product analysis, competition analysis, and forecasting of the APAC telecommunication market including mobile, fixed, pay-TV, and digital businesses.
Arpan has more than 4 years of experience in market research and business consulting across telecom, media, technology, business process outsourcing, and customer experience sectors. Before joining Informa (now Omdia), Arpan has worked at research and consulting firms including Frost & Sullivan and Global Data. He has strong experience in forecasting, opportunity analysis, product benchmarking, and interpreting customer survey data. An engineer by trade, he holds Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Regional College of Management in Bhubaneswar, India.
