Gaurav’s research focus is on communications provider spending. His research also covers communications service providers, over-the-top and cloud content providers, and carrier-neutral providers of cell tower and data center infrastructure. Gaurav joined Omdia in 2016 and is based in India.

Gaurav’s research blends financial and technology analysis, such as scrutinizing the effects of 5G or SDN/NFV on individual company spending. His responsibilities include preparing a five-year forecast of communications provider revenue and capex and tracking the merger and acquisition activity of telecoms, media, and technology companies globally. Previously, Gaurav worked as a portfolio manager for GE Capital, managing private equity investments. He has also worked for S&P Global Intelligence, where he tracked global M&A transactions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Delhi and an MBA in finance from Amity University, India.
