James Allison

Principal Analyst, Consumer Electronics

As part of Omdia’s consumer devices practice, James helps clients understand trends within the consumer electronics industry. He focuses on analyzing regional shipments and distributing the data into country-level shipment and installed base figures.

James started working as an analyst for IHS Markit (now Omdia) in 2008, covering telecoms services in emerging markets. In previous roles at IHS Markit, he researched European telecoms and discussed the implications of BT Group’s purchase of EE on Sky News. James has experience with statistical modeling and analysis and has previously worked on constructing and maintaining complex data tools. He holds a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Imperial College London.
