Mark Iles

Chief Analyst, APAC Channels

Mark is a chief analyst covering APAC channels and an experienced board-level executive and CEO with 35 years’ experience in software and IT in UK, Europe, and Asia. Mark’s work is focused on helping established and emerging technology and service providers in the region adapt to the changing landscape and evolving ecosystem to drive transformation and growth.

Mark joined Omdia in 2025 after the acquisition of Tech Research Asia (TRA), an APAC analyst/advisory firm founded in 2012 where he was a principal analyst and co-owner. Prior to TRA, Mark spent 25 years in senior roles with companies including Microsoft, Vodafone, and Juniper Networks, and as CEO of a business software company. Mark is a frequent speaker at events across APAC and has written and published articles discussing business and technology trends affecting the industry.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in management science (operational research) from Lancaster University, England.
