Senior Research Associate
Matthew Ong primarily prepares research and analysis work in the enterprise, consumer, and service provider market sectors. His projects range from: data collection on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activity, enhancement of market trackers, and data analysis and presentation. He also contributes to the monthly analysis and dissection of IoT case studies.
He joined the legacy IHS Markit business in May 2019. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of Kansas in the United States and worked as a financial services consultant at EY (US) and PwC (Malaysia) in the banking and technology sectors. As a Senior Research Associate at Omdia, his focus areas are IoT, smart cities, and media.
