Prior to joining Canalys, now part of Omdia, in 2023, Miguel gained over 15 years of experience in the consumer technology industry, specializing in smartphones, working as a market intelligence, retail marketing, and go-to-market executive for top global companies such as Nokia, Samsung, and TCL. He also worked at local consulting firms in business intelligence and market research, focusing primarily on consumer technology such as smartphones and wearables.
Miguel holds a postgraduate diploma in trade and shopper marketing from the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, and a bachelor’s degree in science in communications, specializing in marketing and advertising, from the Anahuac University in Mexico City. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
