Lead Data Architect

As part of Omdia’s data and forecasting team, Richard oversees several of Omdia’s data tools and processes, including the data entry systems for the mobile, fixed broadband, TV, and online video databases as well as the online tools for World Information Series - Service Provider.

Richard joined European Mobile Communications (EMC) in 1994 before Informa acquired the company. He initially worked on the production of newsletters and country reports for the mobile telecoms industry before becoming the lotus notes database administrator for the newly created EMC Database that would later become the world cellular information service. Richard’s main interests lie in creating data tools and visualization for mobile, fixed, TV, and online video time-series data and forecasts to provide insights in these areas. He holds a degree in physics, computing, and microelectronics from the University of Kingston Upon Thames.
