Executive summary

The medical display market grew by 8.1% in the first half of 2019 (H1 2019) against the first half of 2018 (H1 2018), which achieved the highest half year’s shipping record since 2016.
Eizo and Barco are continually leading the market, while Chinese brands are emerging, supported by China’s smart medical policies.
As a result of Eizo’s strong performance in advanced regions, the clinical review display recovered.
LG Electronics (LGE) participated in the medical display market survey for this reporting period.
Panasonic decided to withdraw from the LCD business by 2021; this means that PLD, which is one of the main suppliers of medical grade panels and dual-cell IPS LCDs, will close.
