The IT operational analytics market will be worth over $4bn in the Americas by 2021, according to Omdia’s market forecast. Omdia believes the reason for the rapid growth is that analytics from log data is an in-demand and significant capability that can provide insight into and answers for many business problems. However, for these insights to be useful they must be translated into actionable information within a timeframe that matches the business demand. The problem with many traditional agent or log file-based analytics solutions is that they can only operate as fast as the data can be delivered and interpreted. This results in delays. Any approach that accelerates this process of delivering rich IT data will therefore increase the value of the output from any analytics solution.
