It takes approximately 8–10 weeks to manufacture the display driver IC. The display driver IC has a long lead time, and the bottleneck in the semiconductor wafer foundry capacity makes it even harder to have a sufficient supply.

David Hsieh is an expert in the TFT LCD, OLED, LCD TV, and smartphone display value chain for mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea.
