On April 17, 2023, Hyundai MOBIS announced the world’s first 30-inch QHD rollable OLED display, co-developed with LG Display (LGD). LGD developed the rollable OLED with polyimide (PI) substrates and an RGB tandem structure for automotive displays. In 2023, 1.1 million units of OLED shipments are expected for automotive displays; this figure will grow to 6.9 million units in 2027.
