The flip in-cell TFT LCD is the same as the normal in-cell TFT LCD but flipped, and its touch sensor is closer to the finger than on-cell TFT LCD. Panel makers would bring a narrower top border and thinner display module to new flip in-cell TFT LCDs as a selling feature.

Calvin Hsieh is the leader of Small Medium Display and Touch User Interface, which is a functional team under the larger team of Components & Devices: Displays. He is responsible for managing the team, primary research, and forecasting on the touch display and emerging display-based user interface market, such as fingerprint on display.
Before starting his analyst career with DisplaySearch, Calvin Hsieh had more than a decade of experience crafting strategies and managing product lines at leading display and system organizations across the globe. Calvin Hsieh has a master's degree with a focus on human–computer interaction and user interface from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.
