In 2023, OLED smartphone displays penetrated 43% of the smartphone display market. The penetration rate is projected to increase to 52% in 2024. Although LTPS TFT LCD smartphone displays are facing stiff competition from OLED, they are likely to recover from 2025 to 2030—particularly those with FHD screen resolution.

David Hsieh is an expert in the TFT LCD, OLED, LCD TV, and smartphone display value chain for mainland China, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. David also holds a master’s degree in business administration from Preston University, Wyoming, US. David is a fluent speaker of Chinese, Taiwanese, Japanese, and English.
