Although shipments of in-cell TFT LCDs were less than 20.8 million units in 1H20 and 29.7 million units in 1H21, the performance of in-cell TFT LCD shipments in 1H24 indicated that the demand for touch displays in notebook PC applications was recovering, with 19.2 million units shipped. The recovery was attributed to the inventory cleanup and PC brands increased their material preparation since 2024.

Calvin Hsieh is the leader of Small Medium Display and Touch User Interface, which is a functional team under the larger team of Components & Devices: Displays.
