Apple launched its iPad Pro with OLED in May 2024, but the shipment should be less than 5.5 million units owing to limited differentiation and expensive price. Apple has been aggressive in adopting OLED for its IT lineup, but recently, it seems to have slowed down the plan. Apple appears to be concerned about low sales in the short future. A few panel makers have already invested in a Gen 8.6 OLED fab, mainly targeting the demand from Apple. Panel makers should be concerned about the low utilization of IT OLED fab.
