The remarkable increase in FoD module shipments in 2024 was mostly driven by the rising use of AMOLED technology and the low ASPs of optical lens-type FoD modules, which boosted FoD module market penetration. Omdia estimates that the shipment growth of FOD modules will continue in 2025 by 6% YoY but will slow down beginning in 2026 by 2% YoY.

Calvin Hsieh is the leader of Small Medium Display and Touch User Interface, which is a functional team under the larger team of Components & Devices: Displays.
