An underlying factor in August’s solid results was a return to growth in China, which appeared reflective of recent government initiatives to boost overall consumer spending, as well as target stronger demand for electrified vehicles. With China accounting for nearly one-third of world demand, and Europe and North America expected to continue hefty gains, that bodes well for global sales, and production, over the remainder of the year.
