Global sales were strong in April and likely will show a year-over-year gain in May. But sales are expected to weaken in North America after a tariff-related surge, and the economic outlooks for Europe and Asia call for slower growth in the rest of 2025, with trade tensions compounding the risk. Nevertheless, global demand in 2025 still is expected to beat 2024’s total.
