On December 19, 2026, federal users of 7.125–7.4GHz frequencies in the US were instructed to relocate their services to ensure the country’s leadership in 6G development. Spectrum availability will be a cornerstone of 6G discussions, as well as standardization activities and R&D investment, not only in the US but elsewhere in the world.
