Simon Robinson

Principal Analyst Simon Robinson has more than 25 years of experience leading analyst teams and producing research and insight into all aspects of digital infrastructure.

 

Simon is a UK-based industry expert specializing in emerging storage technologies such as disk backup, object storage, cloud storage, all-flash storage, and hyperconverged infrastructure. With a background as an IT journalist and editor, he became a founding analyst at 451 Research, leading the storage and infrastructure research practice. Simon also managed survey products and led 451’s analyst team prior to its acquisition by S&P Global in 2019, after which he took full responsibility for the Technology, Media, and Telecoms research team. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Central Lancashire and provides research insights to help clients optimize their infrastructure solutions.
