China Mobile’s Guangdong branch provides mobile communications services in the South China region. The operator has been working with Huawei’s Cloud Core Networks team for the rollout of carrier-grade telco cloud infrastructure. Its approach to telco cloud focuses on three key areas: cloud native infrastructure; cloud native applications; and cloud native operations and management (OAM). During the Huawei Analyst Summit (HAS) 2024, the operator explained its collaboration with Huawei helped it mitigate the challenges telcos may face while introducing containers and agile deployment methodologies for cloud native networks.
