Senior Analyst, Service Provider Networks
Adam Mackenzie is the Senior Analyst for Omdia’s Telecoms Network Evolution Intelligence Service and a contributor to Omdia’s Telecoms Strategy Service.
His research focuses on quantitative and qualitative analysis of global telecoms capex and opex trends, as well as forecasting and market analysis of the network API ecosystem. Adam has presented webinars to hundreds of attendees, hosted podcasts, delivered in-person presentations on these topics, and serves as a judge for the GSMA’s GLOMO awards.
Adam’s consultancy projects have helped clients benchmark against industry peers and identify opportunities for improving cost and investment efficiency. He has consulted on projects that have earned recognition via industry awards.
Before joining Omdia in 2022, Adam worked at Analysys Mason within the data, networks, and SMB teams. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh.

Kerem Arsal is a Senior Principal Analyst in our Service Provider team, covering networked edge and assessing market opportunities and evolution of the value chain.
Kerem joined Omdia in August 2022 with vast experience in the industry, spanning roles as an analyst and a telco strategist for over more than a decade. Most recently, he led key projects at BT as a senior member of the corporate strategy team. His strategic and financial analysis, workshops, and recommendations to BT Group’s leadership covered a wide range of topics, including coopetition with hyperscalers, market consolidation and M&A options, net neutrality, go-to-market redesigns, incubation of digital products, and the implications of value chain evolution for BT. Before BT, Kerem led Analysys Mason’s Convergence Strategies and Mobile Services research programs. He holds a PhD in information systems from Boston University, where he was a lecturer of e-commerce and innovation management.
