Linda Lin

Senior Principal Analyst, Tablet and Notebook Display and OEM

Linda Lin covers large-sized thin-film-transistor LCD panels and is in charge of survey reports covering manufacturers and vendors in the notebook panel supply chain. With her many years of experience, Linda has developed first-rate relationships throughout her extensive network of contacts and connections in the display industry. 

Linda previously worked at LCD market research firm WitsView, leading research on panels and downstream products, including monitors and TVs. At the Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute, Taiwan’s chief information and communications technology market research group, she oversaw regional research for South and East Asia. It was during this time that Linda decided to make large-sized displays her main focus. Linda has a master’s degree in business administration from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology in Taiwan.  

Peter Su

Senior Principal Analyst, Large Area Display Product Technology & Taiwan Display

Peter is an expert in research and analysis of large area displays (TVs, monitors, notebooks, and tablets), covering TFT, LCD, and OLED marketing, technology, and panel strategy. His analysis of supply capacity, product specifications, pricing, and short-term and long-term forecasts bring value to both panel makers and brand customers.

Peter joined Omdia (previously Display Search and then IHS Markit) in 2013, as part of the large area display analysis team.

Peter previously worked at AU Optronic, where he was notebook and tablet strategy product manager. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from University of Victoria in Canada and a master’s degree in business administration from Concordia University in Wisconsin, US. Peter is a fluent speaker of Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. 

Stacy Wu

Senior Principal Analyst, Automotive Displays & HMI Research

Stacy Wu is a senior principal analyst specializing in automotive displays and human-machine interface (HMI) research at Omdia, and she has established herself as a leading professional in the area since 2014. As the lead analyst for the Automotive Display Intelligent Service, Stacy’s expertise encompasses a wide array of areas including automotive display shipments, design features, HMI, technology roadmap, and automotive cockpit and ecosystem studies.

Prior to her current role, she held pivotal positions, notably as the manager of the market intelligence department at Delta Electronics Group, where she led a team in providing invaluable market insights to the top management team. Additionally, she served as a senior analyst overseeing the large-area display market at iSuppli. She holds a master’s degree in international marketing from the University of Strathclyde in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from National Chengchi University in Taiwan.

TzuYu Huang

Principal Analyst, Large Area Display and Supply Chain

TzuYu is a principal analyst at Omdia, analyzing industrial, public display, and OEM supply chains.

Before joining Omdia, he spent nearly 19 years at globally leading display companies—AU Optronics and BOE. TzuYu focused on the industrial and public display business and rotated between various job functions with increasing responsibilities in the field of application engineering, procurement, and sales. TzuYu is an expert in the industrial and public display research that covers a wide range of product applications such as dash cams, human-machine interfaces, EV chargers, portable navigation devices, mobile POS, multifunction printers, inflight entertainment, rugged tablets/notebooks, POS, industrial personal computers, ATMs, lottery, video teller machines, medical, marine, casinos, pachinko, kiosks, signage, and transportation.

TzuYu earned his master’s degree in mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering, majoring in thermal analysis at Tamkang University. 

Calvin Hsieh

Senior Research Manager, Small Medium Display & Touch Interface

Calvin Hsieh is the leader of Small Medium Display and Touch User Interface, which is a functional team under the larger team of Components & Devices: Displays. He is responsible for managing the team, primary research, and forecasting on the touch display and emerging display-based user interface market, such as fingerprint on display. 

Before starting his analyst career with DisplaySearch, Calvin Hsieh had more than a decade of experience crafting strategies and managing product lines at leading display and system organizations across the globe. He joined DisplaySearch as the director for touch panel market and TV electronics in 2007, which was acquired by IHS Markit in 2014. He joined the Omdia from IHS Markit in 2019 and continues to lead the research of emerging display-based user interface including technology, market, and supply chain. Calvin Hsieh has a master's degree with a focus on human–computer interaction and user interface from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan.
