Sarah McBride

Principal Analyst, Regulation

As part of Omdia’s service provider markets regulation team, Sarah is a principal analyst who analyzes telecom regulation and policies at the national and cross-country levels. She covers regulatory developments affecting 5G and 6G deployment, AI, IoT, and privacy and data protection. Other focus areas include next-generation access, platforms and hyperscalers, national broadband plans, spectrum awards, universal service, net neutrality, wholesale fixed and mobile access, and consumer protection.

Sarah produces various reports, trackers, and benchmarks, such as Omdia’s country regulation overviews and spectrum, national broadband, and fixed access trackers. Before joining Omdia (formerly Ovum) in 2015, Sarah was a senior researcher at Pearlfinders who analyzed and advised on IT, telecom, and technology market trends. She holds a degree in natural sciences from Durham University (UK).

Smita Sharma

Analyst

As part of the regulation and consumer services team at Omdia, Smita Sharma is an analyst in India, providing analysis of telecoms regulatory developments at a country level. She generates regulatory reports, which involves analyzing sources such as regulatory frameworks and net neutrality for a given country.

Prior to joining Omdia in 2018, Smita worked as an analyst in the TMT division at GD Research Center, covering company and industry analysis, market forecasts, competitive landscapes, business research, and market intelligence. She also supported the pre-consulting sales team by generating sales leads and converting proposals.  

Tatichettu Prathibha Reddy

Analyst

As part of Omdia’s consumer services team, Prathibha focuses on pricing strategies, Smart Wi-Fi technologies, global data center analysis, as well as telco and innovation trackers.

In her role, Prathibha contributes to trackers in the areas of Smart Wi-Fi, broadband and 5G pricing, AI innovation, telco-OTT communication, telco-OTT partnerships, consumer service providers, and cellular handsets. 

Prior to joining Omdia, formerly Ovum, in 2017, Prathibha worked as an associate analyst at GlobalData. 

She holds a postgraduate diploma in management, with a specialization in finance from the Siva Sivani Institute of Management in India, which is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).  

Sonali Nagpal

Analyst, Service Provider Networks

Sonali, an analyst based in India, is part of Omdia’s service provider team. She covers topics such as IoT, operator networks, innovative telco services, cloud gaming, consumer AI, operator digital strategies, and 5G/broadband pricing, among others. Sonali has around eight years of market research experience across industries such as ICT, education, and e-commerce. Before joining Informa, she worked with The Business Research Company and Redseer Consulting. Sonali has strong experience in market research and analysis, tracking key industry trends, project management, GTM, market sizing, and report writing. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Kirori Mal College, Delhi, and a master’s degree in economics from Christ University, Bangalore.
