Jusy Hong

Senior Research Manager, Mobile Devices

As part of Omdia’s consumer devices team, Jusy is responsible for wireless and PC research, with a focus on smartphones, feature phones, laptops, and tablets. His research covers mobile device shipment, production, and technology trends, as well as companies’ strategies. Jusy also coordinates Omdia’s wider consumer electronics research in Asia. 

Jusy joined IHS Markit (now Omdia) in 2004 and became a leading TV research analyst. His work has concentrated on demand forecasting and competitive, pricing, and technology trend analysis. He has also served as project manager for consultancy projects related to display technology, market and consumer trends, and feasibility study and cost analysis for manufacturers, government institutions, and investment companies. He frequently speaks at major industry events around the world, including display conferences like SID and IMID. Based in South Korea, Jusy speaks fluent Korean, English, and Japanese and has a broad network of key contacts in South Korea and Japan.  

Zaker Li

Principal Analyst, Mobile Devices

Zaker is a principal analyst at Omdia. He is based in China and his research focuses on the global smartphone industry. He provides in-depth insights such as supply chains, market competition, demand forecast, technological evolution, product strategies, and vendor business models.

Zaker has over 10 years of research experience in the consumer devices industry. He has a background in both industrial and research companies. He worked in TCL Group’s TV division and was involved in market research and strategic planning. He was also a senior analyst at IHS Markit for more than three years. He holds a master’s degree in management from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. Zaker often appears in popular media interviews, such as People’s Daily, Pengpai News, and Sohu. He is frequently invited to speak at industry summits, and his name and viewpoints are widely available on various websites.

Aaron West

Senior Analyst, Consumer Electronics and Display Applications

Aaron provides expertise and analysis of the smartphone market, joining Omdia in 2022.

Aaron has a range of research and publishing experience. He graduated from a degree in theoretical physics before moving into consumer product testing, with a focus on sustainability and the environment.

In this role, he was responsible for research project management, including comparative testing of technology products and consumer surveys. He also reported on the energy efficiency and longevity of home appliances, as well as the product lifecycle and obsolescence of smartphones.

He has published articles in Which?, one of the UK’s largest subscription magazines, produced by the country’s largest consumer association.
