Josh Builta

Senior Director, Enterprise Platforms & Applications

As the senior research director for Enterprise Platforms & Applications at Omdia, Josh Builta leads a talented team of analysts producing valuable insights on artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), digital workplace, and other enterprise technology markets. In this role, Josh manages the day-to-day operations of these teams and guides their strategic development to ensure they produce a compelling research portfolio that meets the demands of Omdia’s global client base. Using an extensive network of industry contacts, Josh regularly contributes to market intelligence reports and frequently leads consulting projects for high-profile clients. His expertise spans a broad technology spectrum, from hardware components to connectivity technologies and vertical market use cases.

Before Omdia, Josh served as the vice president of product management at Ingenu, formulating the company’s product roadmap and guiding cross-functional teams. From 2010 to 2016, he led IHS Markit’s coverage of the IoT market and guided the launch of the first syndicated intelligence service. Josh’s experience also includes analyst roles with the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security, where he directly advised senior government and military officials on national security matters.

Phaninder Pasham

Analyst

Phaninder is an analyst in Omdia’s IT tools and insight team, where he manages the company research team and works on IT market models. He carries out financial and strategic SWOT analyses of companies, considering operational, financial, and strategic metrics across healthcare; banking, financial services, and insurance; technology, media, and telecoms; transportation and logistics; and manufacturing.

Phaninder joined Omdia (formerly Ovum) in 2018 and has expertise in providing strategic, competitive, and financial analysis of companies through advanced secondary research using both qualitative and quantitative data. He prepares insightful and intensive reports on companies, providing vital information for business and strategic planning, investment opportunities, competitor benchmarking, and marketing. 

Phaninder previously worked as an analyst at Global Data PLC, where he performed secondary research, company profiling, financial analysis, and SWOT reports of companies. In 2019, he won an Omdia award for going the extra mile to deliver projects on time. Phaninder has a postgraduate diploma in banking, insurance, and finance.  

Pavan Boddana

Analyst

Pavan Kumar Boddana joined Omdia as an Analyst in April 2024. As part of the IT Market Models & Data Tools Team, he primarily deals with the Global IT Sales Analyzer. His responsibilities include working on firmographic data, secondary research, and IT spend generation, as well as supporting consulting projects.

Pavan has more than five years of experience: Previously, he worked as an Associate Analyst at GlobalData, where he performed a wide range of tasks such as secondary market research, industry analysis, team management, company profiling, new employee training, competitive analysis, client queries, and ad hoc projects.

Pavan has a Bachelor of Technology degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET).

Venkat Rao Paleti

Analyst

Venkat is an analyst contributing to Omdia’s IT Tools and Insight team. His primary focus is on the Global IT Sales Analyzer, IT Spending Predictor, and IT Sales Prospector. He develops predictive financial and sensitivity models to support the team in information technology (IT) spending and market sizing.

Previously, Venkat worked as an analyst at GlobalData, where he supported market research and report writing across various industries. He also led a successful pilot project on sponsorship valuation metrics.

Venkat holds a master’s degree in business administration with a specialization in finance and marketing, as well as a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Venkatesh Kusumanchi

Senior Analyst, Enterprise Technology

Venkatesh Kusumanchi joined the team at Omdia as a senior analyst in February 2022. As part of the IT Market Models & Data Tools Team at Omdia, he primarily deals with forecasting and data modeling. His responsibilities include working on Vendor Analysis and Banking Predictor Analysis.

Previously, Venkatesh worked as a senior analyst at GlobalData where he performed a wide range of tasks such as secondary market research, industry analysis, team management, company profiling, new employee training, competitive analysis, dashboards, client queries, and ad hoc projects. During his tenure at GlobalData, he won two quarterly awards and one monthly award; he was also nominated twice as the Best Employee of the Year.

With more than eight years of work experience, Venkatesh has a bachelor of technology degree in electronics and communication engineering from St. Theressa Institute of Engineering & Technology.

Praveen Goud Pabba

Analyst

Praveen works in the IT tools and insights team, where he provides Tableau visualization for Omdia’s data tools. He is responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating the Tableau dashboards that enable users to analyze Omdia’s data.

Prior to joining Omdia (formerly Ovum) in September 2019, Praveen worked in Apalya Technologies as a Tableau developer for four years, where he was involved in creating, formatting, and updating dashboards according to client requirements. 

Praveen holds a bachelor’s degree in electronics and communications engineering from JNTU in Hyderabad, India.
