Ishan Dutt is Omdia’s research director for PC and tablet research. In this role, he oversees the delivery of market intelligence and advisory services covering the full ecosystem of the personal computing industry, including hardware and software technology trends, vendor go-to-market and channel strategies, end-user purchasing behaviour, and more.
Previously, as a principal analyst at Canalys, Ishan led all PC-related research and advisory services. He spearheaded the creation of the service, including market tracking data, forecasting, qualitative insights, and custom projects. As an expert industry commentator, he has frequently appeared in both television and print media and delivered keynote speeches at industry events. Before Canalys, Ishan worked as an economic consultant with a focus on retail and financial markets in Los Angeles, California. Ishan obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Pomona College in Claremont, California, and is currently based in Omdia’s Singapore office.
James McWhirter

James specializes in analyzing the markets for console hardware and software, PC games distribution platforms, and handheld gaming. As part of Omdia’s games team, he helps publishers, platform holders, components companies, and telcos make better strategic decisions. In addition to market forecasts and reports, he analyzes industry events and trends. James also supports consults concerning the wider games industry. Before joining Omdia, James worked as a research analyst in HR tech, where his insight informed business decisions and supported the development and implementation of new products powered by AI. James has also covered the market for video games across several writing roles, including as editor for a specialist website covering the Nintendo 3DS handheld console. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.
Himani Mukka

Himani Mukka is a research manager at Canalys, now part of Omdia, based in Singapore. She leads a team of analysts, delivering strategic market insights and data-driven research to guide decision-making in the technology industry.
With a strong focus on APAC, Himani specializes in tracking the PC, tablet, and emerging technology markets, providing expert guidance on trends, forecasts, and vendor strategies. She has also been pivotal in shaping the current PC data processes and plays a key role in designing models for new products and services for the PC research team. Her insights have been featured in print media, industry reports, blogs, and panel discussions at leading technology events.
Before joining Canalys, Himani worked as a pricing analyst at Lenovo, where she developed PC pricing strategies and forecasts using machine learning techniques. She holds a bachelor’s degree in ECE from NIT Puducherry and a master’s degree in data analytics from Singapore Management University.
Dom Tait

Dom Tait is Omdia’s Research Director for games, music and audio, and consumer platforms and AI research. Dom joined Omdia in 2014 and has worked across the spectrum of entertainment and media on high-profile consulting projects, with a specialization in games and—increasingly—how they converge with other media.
Dom’s background is in media, having played editorial roles for a range of publications before joining Omdia. For many years, he has worked on a major report that examines consumer and advertiser spending data in entertainment and media segments around the world. As such, he can advise clients on a range of digital media.

Ben Yeh

Ben Yeh is a PC industry analyst based in Taiwan, focusing his research on AI PCs, PC supply chain, and component trend changes.
Before entering the industry analysis field, Ben Yeh worked in procurement at Quanta Computer, managing storage devices such as SSDs and HDDs. He then joined TrendForce, a research institution in Taiwan, where he spent nearly five years researching the NAND Flash sector. Ben Yeh joined Canalys, now part of Omdia, in 2022, becoming their first analyst recruited in Taiwan, bringing more supply chain dynamics updates to the team and co-initiating research on AI-capable PCs.
Ben Yeh graduated from National Chengchi University in Taiwan with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
