LONDON, February 25, 2026: Omdia has identified T Wholesale, the wholesale division of Deutsche Telekom, and Orange Wholesale, as outstanding global market leaders in the 15th edition of Omdia’s Wholesale Innovation Analyzer.
The Wholesale Innovation Analyzer is a landmark annual report that assesses disruptive advances in the global wholesale market. T Wholesale has featured 14 times over the past 15 years, accounting for 18% of all shortlisted innovations. Orange has featured 11 times. Both were active in 2025 as well.
“Wholesale is a vibrant market spanning national and international dimensions,” said Camille Mendler, Research Director, Telco B2B. “Global wholesale revenues have grown 28% over the past five years because smart wholesalers are seizing next-generation opportunities.”
Key trends identified in the analyzer include:
- Impact of the AI supercycle: Supporting rising AI traffic and performance needs was a key activity for Arelion, Lightpath, Lumen, Spark NZ and Uniti, among many others.
- The global expansion of Middle East wholesalers: STC and e& were active across roaming, payments, voice, satellite, optical technologies, submarine and AI-led data center investments.
- Growth in satellite alliances: Vodafone’s new European joint venture with AST SpaceMobile was a highlight; others included Orange Wholesale’s partnership with Telesat and Proximus Global’s partnership with Starlink.
- NaaS as a competitive differentiator: Console Connect, Constl, Inter.link, Orange Wholesale, T Wholesale and Zayo, among others, emphasized NaaS capabilities.
For the 15th anniversary edition of the analyzer report, Omdia revised its assessment criteria to track next-generation growth catalysts: agentic AI, sovereignty and quality of experience.
“Next-generation wholesalers understand that success lies in delivering superb digital experiences, securing machine-generated traffic and capitalizing on sovereignty demands,” said Cindy Whelan, Practice Leader, Telco B2B Strategies, and report co-author.
The analyzer examined the wholesale activities of more than 60 organizations around the world, and ranked the top 10 most innovative developments, drawing from more than 1,000 announcements made in 2025.
